Liden & Denz Moscow
Founded in 1992, Liden & Denz Intercultural Institute of Languages is the oldest private Russian language school in the country and has an international reputation for high standards, having been accredited by numerous education providers around the world. The school was originally founded in Saint Petersburg by two friends, Sven Lidén from Sweden and Walter Denz from Switzerland. The Moscow school opened in 2004 and is housed in the first floor of Russia’s Foreign Office, only a few minutes’ walk from Belorusskaya metro station.
At Liden & Denz, in addition to standard group or private courses, you can also study Russian for business or take a course on Russian music or literature. For students looking to visit more of the country during their stay, it is possible to split your studies between the two Liden & Denz schools. If you decide to continue your course in Saint Petersburg after your stay in Moscow, you will not need to pay the registration fee again and will be able to follow the same course structure.
The staff at Liden & Denz organize various activities for their students’ free time including museum and church visits, tours of the city, cinema nights and cultural events. The school can also help you plan excursions further afield for your weekends, such as to Sergiyev Posad, Yasnaya Polyana (Tolstoy’s former home) and Saint Petersburg.
